Energie: Ich beschäftige mich seit 10 Jahren mit der thermochemischen Umwandlung von Biomasse zu einem brennbaren Produktgas und der Verwertung des dabei entstehenden Nebenproduktes Holzkohle. Mein Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt in der Untersuchung der Reaktionskinetik der Vergasung um so ein bestehendes Verfahren auf die Anforderungen alternativer biogener Rohstoffe (wie z.B. Stroh oder andere landwirtschaftliche Reststoffe) zu adaptieren. Ebenso ist die Untersuchung der Reaktionskinetik der Aktivierung von Holzkohle zur Herstellung von Aktivkohle ein Forschungsschwerpunkt.
