Austria's innovative strength lies in the citizens of the country

Well-educated, innovative people are our greatest asset. The ideas of bright minds are what make Austria internationally competitive, now and in the future. That is why the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK), together with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), is pursuing three goals in the research sector: Getting young people excited about research and development, connecting researchers with the economy, and guaranteeing equal opportunities for all.

We use a diverse range of instruments to support people in applied research throughout their careers. Impulses are being given and opportunities created on which training, the labor market and other relevant areas can build.

Talents - The BMK's funding priority

The Talent funding priority focuses on people throughout their research careers - from children to excellent researchers. Cooperation at the interface between education, research and industry is initiated in a selective manner.
